Although SNL has really lost some luster in the past 2-3 years, they still have some great skits and every once in a while, great episodes. One of the recurring skits they've had going for the past few seasons has been MacGruber. If you haven't seen any of the skits, here's a few hilarious ones to check out. Anyway, like any decently funny SNL skit they went ahead and made it into a movie. I like most of the movies made by SNL: Blues Brothers, Wayne's World, Coneheads, Ladies Man, Night at the Roxbury were all movies I enjoyed. This new MacGruber movie has potential to be a colossal failure though. The only thing that might save it is that Ryan Phillippe is the supporting actor, and Val Kilmer plays the villain. Aside from that, I don't think too many people have any idea what MacGruber is, or have any interest in seeing this retarded looking movie. Do you know who is pumped to see this movie though? Me. That's right, I'm excited. I hope I'm not alone in this regard, check out the trailer and decide for yourself.
